Export Survey Logs

This section explains how to export diagnostic survey logs, configuration files, and hardware info into a ZIP file for troubleshooting and inquiries in a macOS environment.

Command format

Execute commands in the following form.

FlsCliTool output_survey_log <zipFilePath> [days]

  • zipFilePath (Required)
    Specify the path to the output ZIP file. The file extension must be .zip.
    Write permission is required for the specified destination directory.

  • days (Optional)
    Specify the number of past days of logs to collect as an integer from 1 to 14.
    If omitted, the default value is 3 (past 3 days).

Example

  • Export the past 3 days (default) of survey logs to /tmp/survey_log.zip
FlsCliTool output_survey_log /tmp/survey_log.zip
  • Export the past 7 days of survey logs to ~/Desktop/survey_log.zip
FlsCliTool output_survey_log ~/Desktop/survey_log.zip 7
